Please join Bloomberg Intelligence healthcare analysts and inThought Research for a discussion with two vaccine experts, who will share their views on the prospects for developing a vaccine against the novel coronavirus. We will discuss specific programs as well as general considerations for mRNA and other vaccine development.
Meet the Experts
Michael Diamond MD PhD is The Herbert S. Gasser Professor, Departments of Medicine, Molecular Microbiology, Pathology & Immunology at Washington University. Dr. Diamond’s research focuses on the interface between viral pathogenesis and the host immune response. He studies six globally important human pathogens: West Nile encephalitis, Dengue hemorrhagic fever, Zika virus, Venezuelan equine encephalitis, Chikungunya and hepatitis C viruses. He has recently published on mRNA vaccines for Zika virus.
Karin Loré PhD is Professor of vaccine immunology at the Karolinska Institutet in Sweden. Her research focuses on the immune mechanisms that regulate vaccine response, most recently publishing on the B cell response to mRNA vaccines.
