Dr. Higashimura joined inThought in January 2012. Prior to joining inThought, Dr. Higashimura practiced veterinary medicine for over 10 years, including 5 years as a Chief of Staff of a veterinary hospital.

She has worked at the Bronx and National Zoos and done research on hemolytic anemia in rhinoceroses. Dr. Higashimura earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Tufts University and her Bachelor of Science from Cornell University.
