LEGO Robotics Team

inThought has helped support the Exeter Cooperative Middle School (CMS) First Lego League team, a group of 6th and 7th graders who used LEGO and robotics to create a robot to compete in the “Cargo Connect” event.

The Champions

Persistent Pizzas, the CMS team

The team won the regional competition Innovation and Champion’s awards and moved on to the State Tournament in January.

At the State tournament they placed 5th, better than any CMS team has ever done before!

Supporting the Team

The money from inThought is being used to support the team’s basic needs: more LEGO robotics kits and laptops to use in programming and communicating with the robots. Meals, transportation, t-shirts, and ancillary expenses were all covered by parents, so 100% of the donation from inThought goes to core Club resources that will be used this year and in years to come.

We are very proud of this team made up fully of first-year LEGO Roboticists, and next year they will all be back to build on their experience and success.
